Responsibilities
- Pick up and delivery products to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Ensure and assist with on–time loading/unloading and communicate with vendors if delay occurs.
- Load/unload products from railcars and trucks.
- Assist in warehouse when not delivering product.
- Work with patrons in a courteous/professional manner.
- Assist with control and monitor of all load–out functions when working on operations side/not driving.
- Understand/operate automated scale/dump systems.
- Blend product and/or generate blends.
- Monitor quality of inventory and blended product.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Must meet minimum age requirement by state.
- 3+ months experience operating a tractor–trailer combination, manual & automatic.
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Ability to pass DOT drug test.
- Ability to work additional hours/occasional weekends to meet business demands.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs, climb rail cars/ladders/stairs/bins, work in dusty conditions/all weather conditions throughout shift.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred, not Required)
- Air Brake endorsements.
- Agriculture background knowledge and/or experience helpful.
- Experience operating loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile preferred.
- Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience.
- Grain, fertilizer, or chemical handling experience.
